Alumi Craft Racers Dave Mason Jr And Sterling Cling End Pro Buggy Season On Strong Note

    Lake Elsinore, CA

Racers face a never-ending dilemma; do you chase points towards a championship or go all out for a win. Dave Mason Jr. has competed in the super competitive Pro Buggy class in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series for three seasons now. He has been consistently good right out of the box in his Alumi Craft Pro Buggy achieving many podium finishes and top results in the points chase. He finished 10th in points his first season of Pro Buggy, 3rd in the season long points chase last year and improved to the second spot this year. Despite his solid performance, a race win eluded him until the final round this season. With 2nd place in the points championship secure, Dave took the gloves off and went all out for a win. Locked in a wheel to wheel battle for the lead late in the race, he would not be denied. He fought his way past the race leader with two corners to go and sailed across the finish line for his first Pro Buggy victory.

“My Alumi Craft car has always been strong,” says Dave, “I worked very hard between rounds with my team all year to gain speed and it really paid off. The track at Lake Elsinore really suited the handling of the car. I felt very comfortable all weekend; qualifying fastest for Friday’s race. I was fighting hard the whole race and on the last lap I was able to take the lead. Getting my first win in Pro Buggy was amazing. It was exciting, encouraging and more than anything, a relief. I have come close many times before so it was great to make it happen. I couldn’t have done it without my team and Alumi Craft behind me. Their support has been huge for me throughout my entire racing career.”

Alumi Craft racer Sterling Cling is another racer on the move. In his second year of Pro Buggy competition he has landed a second place podium finish in round 12, moved up two spots in the championship standings into the top ten and had a strong showing in the Challenge Cup. Sterling shot out to an early lead in the Challenge Cup and held off a pack of hungry competitors to finish in second place. Look for Sterling to run up front in 2015.

Sterling Cling made a wise choice when he chose Alumi Craft and Dave Mason Jr has relied on Alumi Craft for many years.
