After a few rounds of racing, it became clear that one of the Alumi Craft racers would probably take the championship. The rivalry that developed between Hardesty and Watson was especially fun to watch. Hardesty’s nickname is HotSauce, and after winning the first two rounds, Watson said Hardesty should change it to “Ketchup”.

The entire time Cling was lurking in the shadows and put together his own back-to-back winning streak in rounds 9 and 10. Cling also achieved a milestone in his career when he went to “The Big House” in Crandon Wisconsin and earned a World Championship title.
