Alumi Craft Racer Michael Meister Performs Crandon Hat Trick
September 10, 2020
Alumi Craft Racer Michael Meister performed the incredible hat trick at “The Big House” for the 51st Crandon World Championship weekend. Sweeping the wins in Rounds 7 & 8, Meister held it down for the big race finale and a third victory during the Pro Buggy World Championship on Sunday.
“I could not have asked for a better outcome to a long weekend of racing!” Meister declared. “I hit the ground running on Thursday during practice and set the pace. It snowballed from there. I knew I had to come at it swinging after missing out on so much racing this year. It feels amazing to sweep the weekend and finally get the Crandon World Cup win!”
Additionally, on top of Meister’s back-to-back-to-back triple victories, Alumi Craft Racer Mike Kirkham in the #56 was a top finisher throughout the weekend. He loaded the podium taking 3rd during Saturday’s Round 8 and 2nd for Sunday’s Pro Buggy World Championship. Other notable finishes came from the #2 Alumi Craft of Ryan Schwalbe who placed 4th on Friday and again on Sunday.
The annual Crandon World Championship Labor Day extended weekend is a prestigious attraction for short course racers. It brings out the who’s who of short course off road racing and a larger field than usual. The competition was fiercely competitive with 14 racers in the Pro Buggy division.
Michael Meister shared about his #94 Alumi Craft and what it took to win the Crandon World Championship, “We picked up the holeshot in the Pro Buggy race today. I got out clean and the Alumi Craft Race Car performed flawlessly. From the suspension to the motor, it just worked out well, and we ran a good race from the get-go. I picked up the wins for Round 7 & 8 too and ran a clean sweep. Even starting from the back row, 10th & 12th out of 14 cars, and fighting up through the field for both races. It’s a big and fast track but that Alumi Craft just makes it so nice and comfy inside.Thank you to all who support my program; Michael Meister Logging LLC, HobbyTown USA – Oshkosh, Advanced Kotings, Remington Oil, Nine2zero Designs RC, Mud Muncher Motorized Tear Off, Penray, Badger Race Wraps, MORR, Midwest Off Road Racing, Alumi Craft Race Cars, Fortin Racing, and Beyond Redline Performance.
